An hybrid (PC/PLC) solution to perform automatic estimations of helicopters Center of Gravity. Once the helicopter is loaded on vertical moving platforms provided with hi-accuracy industrial-grade load cells, the system changes heli’s attitude and uses multiple LIDARS (moved through hi-accuracy motion control devices) to determine the aerial-vehicle position.
All these data are fused in order to obtain an hi-accuracy evaluation of masses and COG position in 3D.
All process data are stored on internal databases and the platform is interfaced with an external MES solution.Safety is guaranteed using industrial SAFE-PLC technologies.

Complete PC/PLC solution that manages label creation process using laser-marking technologies.
Once the labels are programmed and loaded from the MES (tailored by Microtecna), a hybrid system (PLC/IPC) controls an external laser and all related automation to create custom labels on aluminium plates. The system archives all the data on an internal database. Once each operation is finished all the data are synchronized with MES to guarantee fully traceability of the labeling process.

Using our expertise in AGVs, we have been able to completely upgrade the automation and IT technologies used in existing AGV-based solutions for beam transport.
Normally these AGVs are based on custom electornics and it’s difficult to find replacement parts on the market. We removed all of these parts and retrofitted all the electronics and motion control technologies with industrial-grade ones. At the same time we created a custom Control Station that automatically manages process flows, missions, and ERP integration. The system has been integrated with an external ERP for process data synchronizations.

An IT application able to generate optimal sequences for automatic warping machines.
Given a spool rack and a sectional warping machine with limited threads per section, this software is able to determine the best warping solution to minimize sections’ number (working time) and racks-consumption. At the same time it provides the optimal loading sequence for the spool rack. All the informations are automatically transmitted to the PLCs.

A smart integrated solution to manage the part-picking process in order to supply multiple production lines.
Given the extreme differences between parts sizes, this operation is performed by human workers. The system automatically sinchronize the joblists from MES and creates an optimized picking schedule for each distributed warehouse and connected operator. Operators, guided by proper blinking lights and screens, pick-up the required parts and place them inside proper containers (with light indicators and touch-screens) on AGVs. In the end the vehicles manage the parts deployment to the production lines and the system notifies the processed data to MES.
