​Control of Winding Machines for Electric Transformers

A complete hardware/software solution tailored to manage and control multiple different winding machines with a single software framework.
Based on multiple technological layers (PLC/SAFE-PLC/IPC), this system manages multiple automation devices (robots, handling systems, safety devices, …) to guarantee the maximum production output, safety and quality. The operators interact with the system using a SCADA-based GUI. Different optical sensors and lidars recognize operators presence and automatically manages safety and manual operations (using SLS and STL technologies). The system stores all the process-data on a remote database. The solution is integrated with a MES (developed by Microtecna) to guarantee fully traceability of the production process and perform condition monitoring on each machine.
