A complete hardware/software solution that is tailored to control different types of CNC-based hairpin-forming machines through a single software framework.
Based on multiple technological layers (PLC/SAFE-PLC/CNC), this system manages different automation devices (robots, handling systems, safety devices, ...) to maximize productivity, safety and quality.
The operators interact with the system through a PC-based GUI that integrates a custom-built CAD/CAM software (developed by Microtecna). Several optical sensors and lidars recognize the operators' presence and automatically manage safety and manual operations (through SLS and STL technologies).
The system stores all the process-data into a local redundant database. The solution can be integrated with external MES systems to guarantee full traceability of the production process and perform condition monitoring on each machine.
